taken

the innocence 

a blood covered shirt

what have I done?

your beautiful face now a lifeless canvas  

as i cradle your body in my arms

the innocence i once had is gone

a loud silence
a cracked perfection
i see your beauty through blind eyes

Caged is a beast
Caged is a burden I hold
Caged is one burden no man should hold
Caged is all the emotion i hold back
Caged i hold the emotion back to stop me feeling the pain

I am your devil's advocate I am the bane of your existence I am that thought in the back your mind that will never let your sleep easy I am that hand you long for to pull you out of the darkness I am the hug you want and need to comfort you to sleep when you cannot I am  

That one spark

for the flames that burn on the war torn plains of my mind i look at my world as it crumbles around me and i wonder how love can cause such destruction to one's life
